college emergency assistance fund

The Asheville City Schools Foundation has recently established a College Emergency Assistance Fund for scholarship recipients to ensure that students not only arrive at college, but have opportunities to thrive once there. 100% of ACSF scholarships are awarded to students with financial need. The Emergency Assistance Fund provides immediate support for unexpected expenses including laptop repairs, course fees and deposits, and textbooks.

Support the Asheville Promise Scholarship

We envision a day when every Asheville High and SILSA graduate who wants to attend college can graduate from the in-state school of their choice, debt-free. Inspired by programs such as the Kalamazoo Promise, the Asheville Promise is a community funded scholarship receiving memorial gifts, donor gifts, and alumni contributions. The Asheville Promise Scholarship is awarded each spring to graduating Asheville High and SILSA seniors by the Asheville City Schools Foundation.
